Jewellery Making

Well this is a bit of a blast from the blast, this project was part of a Uks swap ages ago, but I came across the photos, so thought I'd share them. We had to produce two pieces of jewellery using some patterned paper. These were the pieces I made, I've really no idea who even got these in the swap, hopefully they liked them. They are both using little hardboard/paper pieces, not sure what they are called, the surface is shiny and white (Perhaps some one can advise?) The larger shape is just a little bigger than a domino and they come with the smaller half sizes as well. I covered both using a purple spotty paper and then used a ink pad to add a darker tone to the edge, Think I also painted the sides of the chips in purple with some acrylic paint. I've then layered some rectangles of gold and patterned papers on the surface, and then used a small corner scroll stamp to add the patterns to the corners. On one of the chips I used three tiny plastic coloured tiles and  layered a small piece of coloured card on top of each and then covered with Glossy Accents then arranged then in a little row. Joined the two pieces together with some twisted wire, and added a eyelet to finish. On the other tile I made three flowers on my sewing machine, just by using my free Machine Embroidery foot, and "colouring in" the flower shapes with some lilac and purple thread.  joined them with same wire, but added the extra wire around the piece. hope you like, Wx

Another card,!!!

Another card today, sorry, back to girly pinks again. I do love pinks and purples, I never seem to get fed up with them. Ive had these butterfly stamps for a while, (Magenta)  they are all in little tiles, so are ideal for card making, this is just two from the pack. Ive stamped them with Impress- jet black and shaded them with my trusty promarkers. I've then used a quickie glue pen to add some foiling to the outlines and some details in the butterflies. I've then used a mixture of Lace trims, and a Martha Stewart loopy punch for the backgrounds. Final touch was a few paper flowers,  A couple of Prima- Hydrangea and a couple of £1 bargain flowers from "cardsandmore4u"

Morris Minor Card

I made this card for my dad, got to be honest and say this isn't my usual style, but Dads mad about Morris Minors as he had one in his youth, so I thought I'd give it a go. I struggled to find a stamp or anything I liked, so after much searching decided to use my Craft Robo, and design my own image. Found a few photos of Moggys online and developed them into a cut able image in Robomaster and Paint Shop Pro. Can't honestly say I enjoyed the messing about with the image, as it took quite a while to get it to the point were I was happy with it, but over all I was pleased with it in the end. I cut the image three times in textured brown card, and backed them onto gold mirror card. Spent quite a while adding brown inks to the surface of the mirror card to give a "rusty" looking surface. I backed the three images on some vintage looking mirror board and then onto the card. Got there in the end , Thanks For looking, Wx

New Baby Card

Made this card for a friend with a new baby, patterned paper backgrounds, I think the stamps were "Fourth Dimension", (but I could be wrong) Some K&Co letters and of course a selection of lovely lace. (Still can't get enough lace) The Stamped images were water coloured painted, and then glitter applied.
Going to Nec show tomorrow, so hopefully will be sharing my stash buys :D, getting overexcited :D

More Birthdays

Couple of birthday cards, my mother, has just got a new dog, hence the Doggy card, The stamp was a free one from Craft Stamper a while back, with a range of doggy themed papers to build the back grounds. The cake card was another quick one, simple stamp and layered with some pp. Thanks for looking.

More Artie Fartie Cjs

A quick one today, as been a bit busy, these were my entry in one of the Artie Fartie Cj's (Angels and Demons) Not sure who's book this one was (Sorry) I struggled to find images in my many stamps to work on these pages, and after much debating decided I didn't have anything, so drew them myself. The angel image, was based on something I saw on google images, and the witch/demon thing was based on the artist Ciou. I drew them on cartridge paper, outlined with a letraset fine marker and shaded in with promarkers and gel pens. Finally cut them out and then applied them onto the backgrounds.  The backgrounds were a mixture of distress inks, stamped text/script and some embossing powders. (Cosmic Shimmer black based ones) I also used a bit of Angelina fibres on the angel. I got there in the end, but it was a bit of a creative battle :D

My Artie fartie Cj with UkScrappers Returns :D

Well my Inspriation Cj finally returned this morning and is looking great, many thanks to all lovely ladies at UKS that have worked so hard on it. The idea was to complete a front and backside of a page, based on something that inspired each person, I know not all found this easy, but I'm really pleased with the results :D and hopefully people have been inspired by each others work. Thanks Again to all !

A mixture of techniques today,  Stamped, embossed backgrounds on the card stock. Some ink stained papers which have been ripped, torn and layered together, then stitched down the centre. Some angel hair and mulberry papers layered into the mix. The main feature is the padded heart, which I made from hand dyed silk, then added hand stitching, beads and sequins. Two versions of the same idea. Hope you like, thanks for looking, Wx
